Quality Management

The philosophies and day-to-day activities of Toyota Tsusho UK strongly reflect the principles of the Toyota Production System. Two important elements of this system for us are Standardised Work and Kaizen; these two elements form the basis of our Quality Management System which goes beyond the requirements of ISO 9001 for which we hold certification.

Standardised Work: the basis for Kaizen

Standardised work is a tool for maintaining productivity, quality and safety at high levels. It provides a consistent framework for performance and for illuminating opportunities for making improvements in work procedures.

Kaizen: the lifeblood of Standardised Work

Kaizen provides a solid framework for ensuring continuous improvement and promotes human motivation which encourages individuals to take part in designing and managing their own role. Kaizen improvements in standardised work help maximise productivity at every worksite.
